Billing FAQ

Frequently asked questions about SortLab Shopify Billing, trials, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, refunds, and promo codes.

Is There a Free Plan?

No. SortLab has paid Starter, Advanced, and Enterprise plans. Eligible first-time stores can use the selected paid plan during the 14-day trial period before Shopify Billing starts charging.

How Does Billing Work?

SortLab subscriptions are processed through Shopify Billing. You approve the plan in Shopify, and Shopify handles recurring charges, applicable taxes, and the merchant payment method tied to the Shopify account.

SortLab stores subscription state from Shopify so the app can unlock the correct plan limits.

Can I Try SortLab Before Paying?

Eligible first-time stores receive a 14-day trial on the selected plan. Trial eligibility is one trial per shop domain, so uninstalling and reinstalling does not create a new trial.

Can I Use a Promo Code?

Yes, when a promo code is available. Enter the code on the plan change screen before confirming the Shopify Billing approval. SortLab validates the code and attaches it to the billing attempt.

What Happens When I Upgrade?

When Shopify confirms the new subscription:

  • Higher collection limits become available.
  • Higher sort frequencies become available.
  • Advanced or Enterprise features unlock according to the new plan.
  • Existing strategies, sort history, analytics, and templates are preserved.

What Happens When I Downgrade?

When a lower plan becomes active:

  • Data is preserved.
  • Features outside the new plan become unavailable.
  • Collections beyond the new active limit can be paused.
  • Frequencies and lookback windows are limited to the new plan.

What Happens If I Exceed the Collection Limit?

SortLab enforces active managed collection limits by plan: Starter 5, Advanced 25, Enterprise 200. If the active collection count exceeds the plan limit after a downgrade, extra collections can be paused while their configurations remain saved.

Can I Cancel Anytime?

Yes. Manage the subscription through Shopify Billing or the SortLab Billing page. After cancellation, access follows Shopify's subscription state and the current billing period rules.

Will I Lose Data If I Cancel or Downgrade?

No. SortLab keeps strategies, analytics history, sort history, and saved configurations unless data must be removed under Shopify app data handling or privacy requirements.

How Do Refunds Work?

If SortLab did not meet your expectations, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first charge. Contact hi@hyperionlab.co with your store URL.

SortLab does not provide prorated refunds for partial months except where required by law.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Payments are handled by Shopify Billing using the payment methods available for your Shopify account and region.
