Billing FAQ
Common questions and answers about billing, plans, and subscriptions.
Is there a free plan?
SortLab does not have a free plan. Every paid plan (Starter, Advanced, Enterprise) includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features — no credit card required.
How does billing work?
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as Merchant of Record. You will see Paddle (not SortLab) on your bank statement. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which Paddle collects where required by law.
Your subscription renews automatically each month. Annual billing is also available at a 20% discount — Starter at $15.20/month ($182.40/year), Advanced at $55.20/month ($662.40/year), and Enterprise at $159.20/month ($1,910.40/year).
Can I try SortLab before paying?
Yes. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access — no credit card required. You can install SortLab and use it completely free for 14 days. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
What happens when I upgrade?
When you upgrade to a higher plan:
- New features are available immediately. Collection limits, sort frequency, and any additional tools unlock right away.
- Your existing data is preserved. All strategies, configurations, sort history, and analytics carry over seamlessly.
What happens when I downgrade?
When you downgrade to a lower plan:
- Your current plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle. You keep access to all features until the period you've already paid for ends.
- Once the downgrade takes effect, features exclusive to the higher plan become unavailable (for example, A/B testing and tag rules on Advanced become unavailable on Starter).
- Your data is never deleted. Analytics, sort history, and strategy configurations are all preserved.
- Collections beyond the new limit are paused. SortLab keeps your configurations saved so you can reactivate them if you upgrade again.
What happens if I exceed my collection limit?
If your plan's collection limit is lower than the number of collections you've set up, SortLab pauses sorting on collections beyond your limit. Your configurations are saved — you choose which collections to keep active.
To manage more collections, upgrade your plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from the SortLab dashboard (Billing page) or by visiting sortlab.ai/support. When you cancel a paid plan:
- You keep access to all features until the end of the current billing cycle
- Your analytics data, sort history, and configurations are preserved
- If you resubscribe later, everything will be right where you left it
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are processed by Paddle, which accepts major credit cards and debit cards. Additional payment methods may be available depending on your region.
Will I lose my data if I downgrade?
No. Downgrading never deletes your data. Analytics history, sort run logs, strategy configurations, and collection settings are preserved regardless of plan. Feature access changes, but your data stays intact.
How do I get a refund?
If SortLab did not meet your expectations, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first charge. Reach out to hi@hyperionlab.co with your store URL and we will process it promptly.
SortLab does not provide prorated refunds for partial months, except where required by applicable law.
